WC Rouse & Son, Inc. is currently seeking driven & dedicated Area Manager for our Columbia South Carolina Office. This position will be based out of our Columbia, South Carolina office - your residence within SC is flexible.

Area Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all facets of the office as part of the company strategy
  • Put each of our team members in the best position to be successful
  • Take ownership of the South Carolina office performance for Revenue generation and Bottom Line performance
  • Promote a substantial sense of teamwork and comradery
  • Foster & support communication with all WCR offices.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with existing and potential customers, contractors, and engineers
  • Sell service and equipment to existing and potential customers
  • Support all facets of Sales and Service in the South Carolina Office.
  • Oversee the continuing education (training) program for the office – sales & service
  • Facilitate and promote Lead Generation
  • Participate in regional business-to-business functions.
  • Support and/or assist with quotation/application process.
  • Proposal generation for large/complex projects (equipment & field services)
  • RFQ Generator/ Negotiator for Manufacturer/Vendor proposals
  • Continuously logging and maintaining activities and opportunities in our CRM (Salesforce)
  • Hand leads off to Sales and Service, as needed
  • Coordinate Sales Activities with Sales Reps to ensure efficiency and territory coverage
  • Maintaining relevant opportunity and job information in cloud-based file storage solution
  • Annual performance review of Direct Reports
  • Management of office and sales personnel including basic conflict resolution and discipline in accordance with company’s handbook and Core Values
  • Participate in quarterly and annual strategic planning sessions
  • Exemplify company Core Values and Purpose to other employees and customers
  • Able to obtain and maintain a contractors license, in good standing, in their Branch’s state

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years equal industry (Commercial/Industrial Boiler, HVAC, Mechanical Contracting) related experience
  • Mechanical or similar Engineering Degree a plus
  • 5+ Years' Sales Experience
  • Experience selling Industrial/Commercial HVAC/Steam Equipment a plus
  • Management Experience, 3+ years, preferably overseeing a company/department with $3M+ in revenue and P&L responsibility
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products and Salesforce CRM a plus
  • Desire to succeed and be a part of our family, especially long term
  • Valid Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
